Who Am I?

I am currently a junior at the University of Akron. My major area of study is statistics and my minor area of study is economics. I am a memberof the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Sigma Alpha Lambda, a leadership and honors organization. Along with being very involved on campus through various organizations, I am also very focused on my education.
My Educational Objectives

Throughout my time at the University of Akron I have been on the Dean’s list every semester and I plan to continue this until I graduate. I plan to graduate Magna Cum Laude with a 3.8 grade point average or higher. Another goal I have for my educational career while I am in college is to pass my first actuary exam. I know that this will take a lot of hard work and determination to complete while also focusing on my school work, but it has been a goal of mine for some time now and I feel I have the motivation to make it a reality. At the moment, I do not have any plans to attend graduate school.

My Career Objectives

My career goal, I feel, is extremely lofty. I hope to achieve Fellowship status in the Casualty Actuarial Society. This includes taking and passing the regular seven exams to achieve Associateship status along with an additional two exams. I hope to complete these within ten years of starting my career. Also, my goal is to pass each exam onthe first try. I know this will take many hours of studying and practice.
