About Me:

I am a young, curious student that is always looking for his next challenge. I am a local student, born and raised in the Cleveland area. I come from a family that is predominately successful females. Males in my family do not amount to much but I am hoping to break the mold. I obtained my elementary education from the Cleveland public school district before I moved away from the inner city into the suburb of Broadview Heights. It was in the suburbs that, I believe, I began to see my academic curiosity blossom. I was finally being challenged and my love for learning began. This was reflected in higher grades, my attitude towards school, and my attitude towards life. From Broadview Heights I moved thirty minutes away to Twinsburg and began high school. I had leaned the basics of some instruments and decided to join the band. It was here that I met some of the friends that I still have to this day. I did not play any sports and academically I began to slip into a nonchalant attitude. I was not until my junior year of high school that I had the courage to go to the guidance office with my measly 2.1GPA and demand that I be placed in honors and AP classes. After many meetings, the school decided to oblige me and placed me in the classes that I desired. From there my academic made a complete U-turn, and I graduated with a 3.1GPA. Not spectacular, but respectable. Soon after high school I found my way to the University of Akron and here I remain. I have switched majors 3 times in a effort to figure out what I would like to do with my life. I have spent my academic career seeking out my next challenge and meeting it head on. Who am I? I am trying to be the best that I can be.

Education and Career Objectives:
Within the next year, I plan on graduating with my undergrad in Economics from the University of Akron. From there I have options. As it stands I am planning on participating in a graduate program to obtain and MBA in some discipline of business. Once I have an MBA, I may decide to enter the workforce and use the skills that I have acquired over the years, or enter a Ph. D. program. For now, however, I plan on taking things one day at a time. I would like to use the skills that I have accumulated over the years, especially in data analysis.  Business analytics is becoming a large well paying field to get into, if you have the skills. I have given thought to International and investment banking. Both are very demanding careers but I would never expect to have a dull moment. Should I decide I would like to have the quiet academic life, I could become a professor and teach young minds business. I see many roads that my life could take. All of these roads are in the future and none of those decisions should be made today. As I mentioned earlier, I have to live my life one day at a time and finish what is in front of me before I go to find my next challenge.
